Our friends over at You Platforms, the team behind Leeds-List.com, have just launched two new regional brands covering Manchester and the whole of Yorkshire. Here’s why we’re excited…

The decision to expand their offer with Manchester-List.com, and the wider reaching Yorkshire-List.com, is going to provide something new for consumers, as they bring their distinctive and engaging format to a much wider audience. Having already attracted over 500,000 monthly visitors and garnering an extensive social media following for Leeds-List, their approach is already proving to be a big success.
The new site’s content will continue to focus on a range of sectors, from hospitality and retail, to property and education, no doubt providing insights, hints, tips and exclusive offers for their readers. These new additions are an exciting new development in the media landscape of the north, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on the new titles for our clients.
Leeds-List have developed a distinctive style of writing which engages consumers, focusing on the way in which audiences react to media in the current climate. The decision to focus on data which enables the brand to understand consumer habits and preference, has proved to be an effective method.
Explaining the thinking behind the new brands, Dan Murray said: “Most media platforms rely on banner adverts to drive revenue, but we’ve taken a different approach. By prioritising the user experience and focusing on data, we’re able to use audience insight, sector expertise and local knowledge to help our clients reach their goals.”
This data-first approach to journalism is something we’ve been impressed with in our dealings with the brand and something that can deliver value to a wide range of businesses. Their approach is already paying off, looking at the list of brands they work with such as LNER, Sky and MODA.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on these new titles as they expand their reach and grow their audience. Our association with the brands will continue, as we collaborate on some important topics for the regions they cover, such as this piece on tech talent, which was published last year.
