A Culture of Change: Taking a Deep Dive into the New DCMS Team

Now that the dust has settled on the 2024 General Election, and departmental responsibilities are now set in stone, our latest insight report takes a deeper look into the newly appointed DCMS team. Not only do we look at the individuals and the roles they will take on, but we also speculate as to what this means for driving the UK forward.

The cost-of-living crisis, a pandemic, and the fallout of Brexit have all impacted the creative industries. Whether it be performers, creators, museums or places of heritage, each one has had to adapt and rebuild itself after such a turbulent period.  


While the responsibilities of DCMS cover a wide variety of topics – from gambling to performance art - the department’s new cohort will be seeking to make its mark and embrace the opportunities on offer via a strong cultural strategy.
