Yasper's Seven highlights from 2025

Updated: Dec 16, 2025

As 2025 draws to a close, we take a look back on a year of highlights that has included meeting monarchs; rubbing shoulders with MPs in Westminster’s corridors of power; and securing a hatful of coverage for our first pro-bono project.

It has been a year of significant highs for Yasper, so it’s tricky to distil down our recollection of the past twelve months into a bite-size blog, but here goes…

Raising profile and funds for MND

An undeniable highlight of the year was supporting Mike, Matt, Aaron and Liz, the four intrepid Row4MND charity rowers who took on stormy weather and hostile politics for an unbelievable cause. We were presented with one objective: ‘raise awareness to set the foundations for our four-year challenge’. Along the way, we captured some powerful photography and worked our little black book of contacts to help them secure profile in over 1,000 media outlets.

Capturing cultural change in Bradford

Strong imagery featured in many of our campaigns, whether large or small. We recognise the benefits of working with highly experienced photographers and are lucky to know some of the best in the business. For Bradford-based arts organisation The Leap, we worked with the community to shoot their new sculpture – The Big Hug – helping to shine a light on culture in this special year for the city.

Rubbing shoulders with royals

Sticking with Bradford, we were proud to play our part in hosting The King in the UK City of Culture. Working with social enterprise Impact Hub Yorkshire, we liaised with the palace and ensured that they were profiled front and centre. We even came up with the idea of presenting HRH with his very own Bantams shirt!

Hosting MPs to talk turkey on regional connectivity

From palace to parliament, we curated, organised and hosted a reception for MPs and Lords at Westminster Hall. For our longstanding client, ISSG, this represented an opportunity to showcase what the business was doing in terms of spearheading regional connectivity in the UK, by air and sea. It was great to secure attendance from the major Westminster parties and give them a flavour of island life.

Leading debate on the future of aviation

And from both air and sea to just air travel, we were proud that one of our insight reports – The Future of Aviation – really took off (sorry, not sorry). Working with partners at You Platforms, we analysed thousands of responses to public surveys, plotting out the nation’s thoughts on airline habits. Our research even prompted comment from Ryanair at a corporate level, as showcased in City AM.

A seat on the front row of an historic occasion

Can you see a theme developing here? In September, we were proud to attend Doncaster Sheffield Airport for the historic decision at the SYMCA board meeting to approve the allocation of gainshare funding towards reopening the airport. It was fantastic to see political and business consensus, as this exciting project gets ever closer. And to have a Vulcan Bomber as a backdrop to a meeting was a new one for us!

Collaborating with a true Leeds legend

And last, but certainly not least, we were very pleased to welcome the man, the myth, the legend that is Jamie Jones-Buchanan on board as an advisor to Yasper. He is one of life’s great communicators, and it has been great to work alongside him on some genuinely impactful projects.

And there’s much more to come in 2026…
